Whoa Now! Gallery, Copenhagen

A participation-performance based on ‘Culture Mating’, where Costi decisively intends on finding sense in the social and 3D sphere. Costi embarked on a trip to Copenhagen with a suitcase full of treasured objects. The suitcase was not open until the audience/participants were in place.

 

He recited poetry and told stories with participants; fixing ad hoc shelves and erecting make shift plinths while all present arranged the objects. The varied design cultures of his collection utilized the crowd’s experiences: the triggered memories being the meat of the work, allowing conversation and play.
